We’re getting good at the sneaky snapshot — in this case catching joyous riders unawares. The method produces a lot of junk (half a leg, a mound of poo, desolate wall meeting crumbling sidewalk) but every once in a while you get one like this.

This is the view from the rooftop cafe at our hostel in Jaipur – an unexpected perk of splurging on a $7 room. Looking out at the city from here, you can see at least 20 kids at a time flying colorful paper kites from their rooftops.
